Currently, Across the Line is available on three virtual reality platforms - HTC Vive ("walk around" experience), the Gear VR, and Google Cardboard.

 

• Instructions for viewing Across the Line on a cardboard VR player

  Assemble your cardboard viewer; instructions are printed on the box.       

  1. Ensure you have the YouTube app installed on your phone. Turn on wifi if you want to minimize data usage.
  2. Text ACROSS to 22422 for the link to the film. 
  3. In the bottom right hand corner of the video, select the cardboard icon.
  4. Plug headphones into phone and adjust volume.
  5. Insert phone into cardboard.
  6. If you did not hit play before placing your phone in the cardboard, tap the metal flap on the top of the box.

• Instructions for viewing Across the Line on Samsung GearVR:

  1. If you don't already have the Oculus app, install it.
  2. In the Oculus app, search for "Across the Line". The film is located in Gallery Apps if you need to navigate to find it.
  3. Download Across the Line.
  4. Press play and insert your phone in your GearVR headset.
  5. If you would like to watch the film a second time, look for the video in your Library.

• Instructions for viewing Across the Line on Oculus Go

  1. In the Oculus app, search for "Across the Line".
  2. Download the experience.
  3. Press play and insert your phone in your GearVR headset.
  4. If you would like to watch the film a second time, look for the video in your Library.

• Instructions for viewing Across the Line on VIVE or Rift

  1. Add this item to your wishlist, if navigating online. 
  2. Once in your headset, download and experience Across the Line.
  3. In the third scene, you can walk around the car with your health center escort.
  4. Please leave a positive review after viewing.

• Instructions for viewing Across the Line on PlayStation: 

  1. Open the LittlStar app on PlayStation. 
  2. Search for Across the Line or click here.

• Instructions for viewing Across the Line on your desktop or laptop

  1. Click here to access the film on YouTube.
  2. In the bottom right hand corner of the video, select the full screen brackets.
  3. Plug in and put on your headphones for the best experience.
  4. Press play.
  5. Click and drag your mouse pointer, or use your hand for touchscreen, to navigate in 360* for every scene.

• Instructions for viewing Across the Line on a mobile phone (best on iPhone) without cardboard viewer

  1. On your smartphone, open the YouTube app. Turn on wifi if you want to minimize data usage.
  2. Search for “bit.ly/WickedJezebelFeminist” or "Planned Parenthood Across the Line"
  3. Select Across the Line on the Planned Parenthood channel.
  4. In the bottom right hand corner of the video, select the full screen brackets.
  5. Plug in and put on your headphones for the best experience.
  6. Press play.
  7. Navigate in the scene by moving your phone in the air, noticing that the location of the phone changes your vantage point of the film.

• TROUBLESHOOTING

  No cardboard icon on YouTube?

  Ensure you are in the YouTube App instead of a browser window. If you see "http://" at the top of the screen you are in a browser window. 

  Are you using an Android? Install the Google Cardboard app from the Play store. After installing open in the YouTube App again. 

  Is the video freezing and not playing smoothly?

  Ensure you are on a strong wifi signal. Pause the video for two minutes to let it load.

  Getting phone calls that interrupt your experience?

  Turn on "Do Not Disturb" in your phone settings. Turn your ringer off. Remember to restore your original settings!

  Feeling motion sickness? 

  Grab a peppermint. Watch the video in a flat format.

  Really want a cardboard viewer and don't know how to get one?

  Use the internet to find one to purchase online. You should be able to find one for $10 or less.
